The title stands for 20 years of Marc Lagrange. Marc Lagrange created his “universe”: “Maison Lagrange”, a retrospective exhibition, in an urban villa in Antwerp. For 6 months, over 240 photographs were displayed in this exhibition. This special occasion gave rise to an extra large format book, published in 2011.
Marc Lagrange was a photographer famous for his ultra detailed way of working. Creating mostly nude portraits of women, he displays his subjects as empowered characters with a strong sense of narrative. Lagrange tragically and unexpectedly passed away in 2015 in a car accident. His work leaves behind a strong legacy of his personality.
The Artist's Proof copies of the XXML limited edition are joined by a limited edition print 'Les Florettes', signed by Marc Lagrange and with a certificate to match the limited edition book.
